Why is there no parking on alderton street in leamington. It does not seem there are any obstruction s on this road, no access to parking near the park
Randy zeray asked 23 days agoThank you for your question. No parking zones exist on both sides of Alderton Street near the park primarily due to the location of Lithgow Ave and Southbridge St. Slight bends in the roadway in that area cause sight visibility issues when turning off these streets. Designating these areas as no parking zones help promote a safe passage for vehicles.
The rough sketch below shows no parking zones in red and permitted parking in green.
If you require further assistance please contact Leamington By-law Enforcement during regular business hours at 519-326-5761 or report the issue online 24/7 through the Municipality's website at leamington.ca/reportanissue.

Share We recently lost our dog to a stray cat fight. The neighbours have been catching the stray cats to get them fixed and vaccinated and feeding them on their property which has become a problem as they are now on our property creating an unsafe environment for my animals. Am I allowed to catch these stray cats and re-home them to a good home without getting into trouble? As well as they have a pet cat that they allow to go in and out, and comes on our property. What can be done about this? I need to protect my animals and make sure we do not lose another dog. on Facebook Share We recently lost our dog to a stray cat fight. Bre asked 4 months agoThank you for your inquiry. Property owners or occupiers in urban Leamington are permitted to humanely trap cats trespassing on their property using portable, humane traps provided by the Municipality upon request. It is essential to ensure the cat's safety and well-being by providing adequate food, water, and shelter suitable for the current weather conditions.
The Municipality of Leamington offers traps for this purpose, requiring a refundable deposit of $80.00. Traps can be rented at a cost of $15.00 per day.
Alternatively, residents may choose to bring stray cats to the Windsor-Essex Humane Society in Windsor for a fee of $30.00.
