The Leamington By-law Enforcement Department and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) both address concerns related to unnecessary noise, which is defined as sound that is loud, persistent, or continuous and that reasonably disturbs the peace, rest, comfort, or convenience of residents, depending on the surrounding circumstances.

For noise-related concerns, you can contact the OPP's non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122. Alternatively, you may contact Leamington By-law Enforcement during regular business hours (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) at 519-326-5761 or report the issue online through our website at leamington.ca/reportanissue.

For further details, please refer to the Municipality's Noise By-law here: https://www.leamington.ca/en/municipal-services/resources/51-18-Noise-By-law.pdf

    Thank you for your question.

Parking in a manner that obstructs a driveway or lane, or stopping on or over a sidewalk, is a violation of Leamington’s traffic By-law. These rules help maintain visibility, safety, and accessibility for residents and pedestrians.

If this continues to be a concern, please report it to our By-law Enforcement Department. Reports can be made during regular business hours by calling 519-326-5761, or anytime through the online reporting portal at leamington.ca/ReportAnIssue

    Thank you for your question.

The Municipality of Leamington has a comprehensive Property Standards By-law in place to ensure that all properties are maintained in a safe and habitable condition.

A non-functioning toilet for over two weeks may be considered a violation of this by-law. We encourage the tenant to report this matter to the By-law Enforcement Department, who can investigate and take appropriate action.

To report a property standards concern:

Please contact the Leamington By-law Enforcement during regular business hours at 519-326-5761. Alternatively, the issue can be reported online anytime at
    leamington.ca/ReportAnIssue.

Thank you again for bringing this matter forward. Ensuring the health and safety of residents is a priority for the Municipality.

Are we allowed to sleep for few hours in the car? And which parking lot can we park for one night?

Ned asked about 1 month ago

    Thank you for your question.

There is currently no specific bylaw in Leamington that prohibits sleeping in a vehicle. However, if you choose to park on a public street, please pay close attention to any posted signage, as local parking restrictions still apply.

If you are considering parking overnight in a private parking lot (such as a business or plaza), you must obtain permission from the property owner or manager.

For municipal parking lots operated by the Municipality of Leamington, a 9-hour parking limit applies. Exceeding this time may result in enforcement action.

If you have further questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the Municipality directly at 519-326-5761.

Thank you for your inquiry. Yard maintenance in the Municipality of Leamington is regulated under the Land Maintenance By-law. This by-law includes requirements for general property upkeep, such as maintaining grass and weeds below a certain height, to help keep neighbourhood standards upheld.

If you have concerns about a neighbouring property, you can contact Leamington By-law Enforcement during regular business hours at 519-326-5761. Alternatively, you can report an issue online anytime at leamington.ca/ReportAnIssue.

Thank you for your inquiry. The Municipality of Leamington does not currently have a by-law regulating the use of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) on municipal roads. However, road use regulations for these types of vehicles may still fall under provincial jurisdiction.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please contact the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) through their non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.
