Updated Road Closure Notice: Seacliff Drive East (East of Bevel Line to West of County Road 33) Beginning May 26

Leamington, ON – May 14, 2026 – The Municipality of Leamington is advising residents and motorists of a revised construction schedule for the next phase of the Seacliff Drive East Reconstruction Project.

The full road closure on Seacliff Drive East between east of Bevel Line and west of County Road 33, previously scheduled to begin May 19, 2026, will now begin on May 26, 2026.

This closure is expected to remain in place until October 30, 2026, weather permitting.

What to expect beginning May 26, 2026

The section of Seacliff Drive East, east of Bevel Line to west of County Road 33, will be closed to all traffic for the duration of this phase of construction.
The section of Seacliff Drive East between Regatta Drive and east of Bevel Line will open to local traffic, with intermittent lane closures and delays expected.
Access to Seneca Road will change:
- Before May 26: Access from County Road 33 via Seacliff Drive East
- As of May 26: Access from Erie Street via Seacliff Drive East
Peter Avenue (between Seacliff Drive East and Christina Crescent) remains closed until approximately October 30, 2026, weather permitting.
Businesses within the construction zone remain open and accessible. Please follow the appropriate detour route(s).
Residents and motorists must follow posted detour routes.

Work includes

Installation of new sanitary and storm sewers
New watermain installation
Construction of multi-use pathways
Roadway reconstruction, including curbs, sidewalks, and driveways
Realignment of Bevel Line and installation of new traffic signals at the intersection of Peter Avenue/Bevel Line and Seacliff Drive East
