Project Update: Margaret, Audrey, Jane, Claire and Sherk Street Sewer Separation and Road Reconstruction

The Municipality of Leamington is providing the following update on the sewer separation and road reconstruction work underway in the Margaret, Audrey, Jane, Claire, and Sherk Street areas.

Sherk Street – Current Status

• Sherk Street is open to traffic.

• Short, intermittent lane closures may occur to accommodate remaining work, including the installation of pedestrian crossings and other final improvements.

Margaret & Audrey Streets – Current Status

• All sewer work on Margaret and Audrey Streets is now complete.

Paving is scheduled for December 11-12, 2025 (weather permitting).

• Driveways will be restored with temporary asphalt for the winter, with concrete replacement planned for spring 2026.

Winter Pause

Once the above work is completed, the project will pause for the winter months.

Jane & Claire Streets – Upcoming Work

• Sewer separation work on Jane and Claire Streets is scheduled to begin in late March or early April 2026.

• Sewer installation on both streets is expected to be completed by mid-May 2026.

• A final layer of asphalt over the entire project area is planned for June 2026, weather permitting.
