Consultation has concluded

The Municipality of Leamington Seniors’ Advisory Committee is a Committee of Council whose role is to advocate for senior citizens in Leamington and make recommendations to Council to enhance the quality of life for seniors living in Leamington. 

We have developed a survey that is part of a process to examine the needs of Leamington seniors by identifying the strengths in our community and hearing about concerns. Information gathered from the survey will assist the Seniors’ Advisory Committee in establishing its direction for the upcoming year.

    Social Participation Survey

    Social participation is considered one of the most important components of older adults’ health. Social participation, social support and social connectedness not only contribute to the quality of life of seniors but are also strongly associated with better mental and physical health. 

    Providing opportunities for social participation, which includes creating the necessary structures to allow seniors to access these opportunities, is an important component of an age-friendly community.
